Congratulations to Dr. Bonnie Callen! Dr. Callen will receive fund from The American Nurses' Foundation (ANF) for her research project entitled, "Nutritional Risk Factors as Predictors of Unintentional Weight Loss in Community Dwelling Elders." ANF grants are very competitive, but Dr. Callen has demonstrated that they are not impossible to get! In addition, Dr. Callen is on the Advisory Board of a grant that has been recently funded by Robert Woods Johnson Foundation for $1,020,404.00. The title is: One Call Club for Seniors. Barbara Monty is the principal investigator.

Congratulations to Dr. Jan Brown! Dr. Brown has been selected to participate in the Geriatric Nursing Education consortium (GNEC) training Institute scheduled for October 3-5, 2007 at the Renaissance Hotel Downtown, Atlanta. GNEC is a national initiative to enhance geriatric content in senior-level baccalaureate courses.
